IN FOCUS: ZOLTAN KORDA
A CineClassics Conference at CineFest Miskolc
Zoltan was possibly the most talented, yet least known member of the legendary Korda family. Born in Pusztaturpaszto, a remote village in the Great Hungarian Plain, Zoltan made tipical British films that took place in Sudan, India, South Africa or in the Arab world directing such legendary stars as Humphrey Bogart, Gregory Peck and his own discovery, Sidney Poitier.
At CineClassics conference excellent speakers will remember the artist with excerpts of his films and the screening of his nowadays rarely seen 1939 masterpiece The Four Feathers, starring Ralph Richardson. The September issue of movie magazine Filmvilag will devote a series of articles to Zoltan Korda supporting the conference.
