Entry regulations

1. General information

The number of entries is not limited. The category of the entry must be specified by marking one of the competition categories offered in the entry form. In accordance with the Festival's specialty, only productions made after or in 2008 may be entered, with the filmmaker (director) being under the age of 35 when making the film. In terms of long features films the director's age could be over 35, in case the film is the director's first or second long feature film.

A pre-jury makes a selection from the entered films. The creators will be notified on the decision of the pre-jury by the 1st of August, 2010. The festival copies of the selected films for the festival program must arrive by the 1 of September, 2010 at the latest. The sender shall inform the Festival in an electronic form (info@cinefest.hu) about the date and the way the copy of the film was sent, together with the reference or tracking number of the package.

The films must be sent prepaid. The films sent with the entry form to the pre-jury WILL NOT BE RETURNED, the Festival keeps them for its archive. The Festival takes the responsibility for any damage to the film copy (print, video tape, CD, DVD) from arrival to return, but disclaims all responsibility for any damage caused by transportation. The decision of the pre-jury and the jury are definitive, no appeal lies after it. On the day of the film's premier and on two additional days the organizers provide accommodation for the filmmaker (2 persons).
