CineNewWave

2018. September 17. Monday 14:57
The Jameson CineFest selects short features, experimental films and animations by young Hungarian talents. The aim of the program is to introduce talented young filmmakers to the audience of the Festival.

The award-winning director of the program is given 1 000 000 HUF (offered by the National Media and Infocommunication Authority) and an opportunity to participate in the jury at the next Jameson CineFest. Last year’s winner of the CineNewWave was Balázs Dudás with his film ‘Welcome’ shot as a thesis film at the MA program for directing at the University of Theatre and Film Arts in Budapest. This year he is a member of the international jury.

The selected works are part of the official competition program of the Jameson CineFest and the Festival invited all the filmmakers to participate at the screenings.

This year’s selection is screened in two blocks: on 18 and 19 September at 8 pm in the Béke screening room of the House of Arts. Repetition follows at the same venue on the 20th of September at 8:30 pm (1. block) and on the 21st of September at 8 pm (2. block).
