Levente and Zita (Domokos Szabó and Nóra Földeáki) come to visit Kálmán and Olga (Hajdu Szabolcs and Tóth Orsi). The two couples in their forties are about to celebrate Kálmán’s name day, but along with the ever-increasing toasts, difficulties in the relationship, which are already difficult to hide, quickly arise. The second part of Szabolcs Hajdu’s relationship trilogy is coming from the stage to the screen. While in Ernelláék Farkaséknál the conflicts revolved around raising children, in Kálmán-nap the tensions and moral dilemmas arising from the lack of intimacy and sexuality come into focus. The story is deceptively simple and mundane, which is made fascinating by the small details.
