Miklós Hofer and György Vörös designed the third lookout tower on top of the Avas more than 60 years ago. However, 60 years had not passed without a trace, and the condition of the tower made a complete renovation necessary. The renovation plans were designed by József Viszlai, the former chief architect of Miskolc, and structural engineer Ottó Janik. The work is now complete, and the tower stretches over the city, strengthened and renovated. The film shows how this iconic design, which everyone fell in love with at first sight, came to be and what has happened in and around the tower over the past 60 years. The film also tells the story of the two previous lookout towers. The story of the Avas Lookouts is also a piece of the modern history of Miskolc.
