Festival Policy

Every attendee of the Festival shall observe the festival policy. By entering the festival grounds, the attendee accepts and agree to follow the terms and conditions of the festival policy.

Screenings in the feature competition program, CineDocs competition program, East of Europe program, Informational screenings (Turkish Days, China Focus) and the Open Eye section can only be watch by ticket holders. Any other screenings are free of charge, and prior reservation is possible only with the permission of the organizers (e.g. for the members of the jury). The opening and award ceremonies are by invitation only events, only those holding an invitation or accreditation may attend.

The doors open 15 minutes before the screenings.

Ticket holders are obliged to take the seat indicated in their ticket.

In the case of the free screenings seating is available upon arrival. Due to the extreme popularity of the screenings and the limited seating available we kindly ask you not to leave chairs empty.

We kindly ask our viewers to take their seats before the screenings. Late arrivals cannot enter the screening rooms, even if they have a valid ticket.

After the end credit everyone must leave the screening room! Please take care of your belongings (bags, clothes, etc.). The Festival is not responsible for lost items! During the cleaning between screenings only authorized personnel are allowed to be in the rooms. The audience may re-enter 15 minutes before the next screening.

No food or drinks are permitted within the screening rooms! Please take care of the festival’s property. By entering the festival grounds all attendee accepts the festival policies. The festival takes legal action against attendees abusing or appropriating festival property, including but not limited to the property in screening rooms and other facilities, irrespectively of the value of the damage.

Please do not block exits, i.e. the exits of the screening rooms and facilities shall always remain free!

Mobile devices cannot be used during the screenings! The organizers reserve the right to eject any person failing to comply with the regulations!

The attendees are not permitted to bring any objects or substances that are deemed by the organizers to be dangerous or risky, are possibly threatening or disturbing for others, disturb or hinder others in enjoying the festival to the festival grounds. The festival staff has the right to remove from the festival area any visitors disturbing others in any way (untidy, dirty, or indecent clothes, drunk or other intoxicated state, loudness, disorder, begging, etc.). The use or possession of any illegal drugs will not be tolerated anywhere inside or outside the venues. If you are found intoxicated at entry, the organizers reserve the right to refuse admission. Management reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any person whose conduct is deemed by management to be disorderly or who fails to comply with the terms and conditions herein.

The festival venues are smoke free environments. No smoking or naked fire is allowed (including e-cigarettes, tobacco pipes and all kinds of tobacco-related products) inside the House of Arts and the Csodamalom Puppet Theatre. Flammable substances are not permitted in the buildings.

Smoking is allowed in the designated smoking areas only.

No sales, sampling, hawking, panhandling or soliciting without the express consent from Festival Management.

The CineFest Miskolc IFF is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

All people attending the Festival do so at their own risk. Damage or personal abuse caused to a visitor by another visitor of the festival is out of the festival’s responsibility.

Dogs or other pets cannot enter the festival grounds (except authorized service dogs). With the express consent of the festival organizers pets may enter to the hall of the House of Arts only.

In all venues of the Festival the use of any visual and sound devices (camera, video camera, phone, sound recorder, etc.) is strictly forbidden. Any recording activity is a violation and calls upon legal action and punishment based on civil rights.

Visual and sound recording at the festival is only allowed with the express written consent of the Festival management.

Do not enter restricted area. Legal action will be taken against unauthorized people for trespassing. Organizers are responsible for taking action in case of disorderly behavior. The festival takes legal action against attendees abusing or appropriating festival property and obligate them to pay the value of the damage.

Visitors under age 18 will not be served with alcoholic beverages. The use or possession of any illegal drugs will not be tolerated anywhere inside or outside the venues.

Children under the age of fourteen (14) may only enter, and stay at, the Festival if accompanied by an adult in full possession of their faculties.

Do not climb on the installation, furniture, decoration and similar objects!

When you enter the CineFest Miskolc International Film Festival (CineFest Miskolc), you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By entering the festival premises, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, web casting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such use, exhibiting, broadcasting, web casting, or other publication. When you enter CineFest Miskolc, you have consented, waiver of liability.
