Born and raised in Košice, he attended high school in Miskolc before studying philosophy at university. Concurrently, he worked for the daily newspaper Észak-Magyarország. Pursuing his dreams, he first worked on the production teams of Hungarian films – specially with Ildikó Enyedi – and major American productions (The Eagle, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, …). In 2008, he began studying directing at FAMU in Prague. His debut feature film, OUT, premiered in the Un Certain Regard section of the 70th Cannes Film Festival. His second film, ZENIT, was a dance sci-fi, and he is currently working on the drama titled I will find you.
