Noted veteran film critic from Kolkata. Served in the FIPRESCI juries in Armenia, Taipei, Busan, Berlin, Vladivostak, Manhiem-Hidelberg, Duhok, Selector for KIFF, National Film Awards, India. Wrote several books on Bengali, Indian and foreign cinema. Regularly visits most of the international Film festivals. Translated a few foreign film scripts, published scripts of Bengali films. Currently works for “Krittibas” a popular fortnightly cultural magazine and also has been serving as a selector for Kolkata International Film Festival
