Premier Plan exhibition: portraits of actors from the other side of the filmstrip

A joint program of the Theatre Museum and CineClassics offers an insight into the works of graphic artist and photographer György Paraszkay in the exhibition space of the Theatre Museum (Miskolc, Déryné u. 3.).

György Paraszkay has been the technician of the P’ART Cinema in Szentendre for the past decade. During this period, he also made pictures at the Szentendre Theatre’s performances. A selection of photographs and portraits of actors and actresses feature more than a hundred contemporary Hungarian actors, dancers and musicians. Some of them are no longer with us, but almost all age groups are represented in the exhibition, from college students to Kossuth Prize winners.

Éva Keleti, the grand dame of Hungarian theatre photography and Kossuth and Príma Primissima Prize-winning photojournalist, was György Paraszkay’s partner in compiling the material.

The exhibition is on view until 27 October 2024 from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm.
