The Hungarian Film Critics’ Awards were presented on February 2023 with two CineFest films are among the winners – including Best Picture. Katalin Román (pictured) won the award for best actress for her performance in the film Six Weeks (Hat hét). Veronika Noémi Szakonyi’s film won after the September Hungarian premiere in Miskolc the main prize of CineFest. Now it convinced the Hungarian critics as well: in their opinion it is the best film of the year. The world premiere of the best first film was also held at the Miskolc International Film Festival: the award went to the film Magasságok és mélységek (Heights and Depths).
